TOP Opera is proud to present a Culture and Nature tour to the Achensee.
You will be able to get to know the singers, sit in on rehearsals, take a workshop and see how an opera is put together. In between concerts, you will walk in the mountains, visit nearby attractions such as Salzburg, Innsbruck and the Swarovski Crystal Factory - even learn to Yodel! A week of Culture, Nature and Sightseeing, including some walking on uneven terrain.
Special programs on how an opera singer learns his/her craft, with a chance to get to know the singers
Attend concerts and master classes

Projected Itinerary:
Friday - Saturday
Overnight flight from the US to Munich. Transfer with private bus to your hotel in Maurach.
Welcome reception featuring the TOP singers.
Sunday
Get over your jet lag and enjoy an easy day. In the afternoon you discover the region on a private tour bus to the Zillertal, where you will visit a cheese factory and taste the famous alpine cheeses.
In the evening you will attend a master class with the TOP singers and a guest coach from Munich or Salzburg.
Monday
Today you will get a chance to visit the world-famous city of Salzburg.
The evening is free or you may drop in on TOP classes or rehearsals.
Tuesday
In the morning Acting Teacher Paul Kustermann will teach you how to let go of your inhibitions and act. Artistic Director Elizabeth Bachman will lead a Period Movement class where you will learn to climb the stairs in a hoopskirt or sit while wearing a sword.
In the afternoon you will go on an excursion to the medieval town of Rattenberg, and visit one of the reknowned glass blowing factories.
In the evening you will attend a concert with the TOP singers.
Wednesday
Get out of the bus! Today you will take the cable-car up the mountain and enjoy breathtaking views over the mountains and valleys as you walk on an easy trail to the Dalfaz Alm.
At the Dalfaz Alm a lunch featuring home-made sausages and pastries will be served. You may also try the famous Schnapps.
Alternative to the Walk: Sit in on rehearsals and voice lessons, or take a boat ride around the lake.
In the evening you will attend a Tyrolean Evening in an authentic Tyrolean hut, with traditional music, dancing and yodeling.
Thursday
This morning you will join the singers in a workshop on „Communications“ with Master teacher Carol Kirkpatrick.
In the afternoon we will take a private bus to visit the 15th Century Castle Tratzberg. It may even be possible to meet Count Goëss-Enzenberg.
In the evening, attend a lecture on Austrian Musical Culture, from the young Mozart to folk music.
Friday
Today you will visit the city of Innsbruck. After a tour of the city and an optional traditional lunch in the historic part you will experience the famous Swarovski Crystal World in the afternoon.
In the evening, attend a lecture on Austrian Musical Culture, from the young Mozart to folk music.
The evening is free or you may drop in on TOP classes or rehearsals.
Saturday
In the morning you will go on a walking tour along the lake.
In the afternoon you will have time on your own for swimming, golf, hiking or boating on the lake. Or you may drop in on TOP classes or rehearsals.
In the evening there will be a farewell surprise for you with the TOP singers.
