Recently I worked with a singer who brought me back to the true reason I am pursuing a career in the field of music: it is a passion that cannot be ignored. I had begun doubting myself, and I lost sight of my passion. But I found that my love for music and its performance were still there, they were just hiding. This passion for music burns deep within my soul, its flame ever-bright, and consumes my being. I cannot imagine my life without it.
Music is an art that is shared across cultures, and is considered a universal language. In our fast-paced, technically-charged world, there are few things that connect the world's inhabitants to each other. One of these things is music. It can be delivered in a language other than one's native tongue, and its meaning can still be understood through emotion. Music reaches across language barriers and allows the peoples of the world to connect on a fundamental, level. I want to communicate this universal language through song. My passion for this art is a passion that I am unable to ignore. No matter what happens, when I clear my thoughts I find my focus and my destiny: to become fluent in this universal language. |
